The icons in this folder are to be used as marks for your
desktop or folders as organization aids. They work bes on a white background,
such as the inside of a folder.
They have many uses, try several and see!

Newer, brighter colors/design for all icons.

To change the color of one or all of the icons, use the Finder's "Label" menu. You can customize the color using the "Label" control panel. This change will affect some areas of the icon, not the black. Try several different colors for some neat effects!
To use Icon Marks:
For best results, always remember not to change the FOLDER that these icons came in! Don't MOVE the icons from the folder! To use these icons, you will be making COPIES of the originals, so that if you need to retrieve the first, the original icon will be unchanged.
1. To place an Icon Mark, first find out where you wish to place it, and open the Icon Marks 1.01 folder nearby.
2. Holding down the option key, drag the icon you want out of the Icon Marks 1.01 folder and into the new location.
3. Release the mouse button, and the Icon Mark will be copied to the new location, leaving the original undisturbed. (Did you know you could do this for copying any file in the Finder to the same disk? Not a lot of people realize this!)
4. The Icon Marks are actually this TeachText file with a customized Icon, so they need to have names so the Finder will recognize them. To keep the Icon Marks independent from each other, they are named with spaces that will not show up in the Finder. If you need to change the name, do so just like you would change any other document name.
5. For large-scale organization, rename the Icon Mark with your choice of number or other letter. For example, A would become A1 by inserting a "1" below it. Then A2, and so on. When you run out of letters, use the number icons enclosed.
6. Try other combinations, such as AB or XY to give more options....
